Ecosave Delivers Savings at 29 Fire Stations in Fire Rescue Victoria EPC (formerly known as MFB)

Client Overview

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV), formerly known as Metropolitan Fire Brigade (MFB) is a community based organisation committed to providing world-class protection against fire and other emergencies, as well as educating the
community about fire safety.

FRV awarded a $1.6 million EPC to implement energy conservation measures across 29 fire stations and facilities, including at Brunswick Fire Station and Footscray Fire Station.

Challenges & Objectives

In its commitment to reducing the environmental footprint of all its business activities, Fire Rescue Victoria needed support with identifying and implementing EPC solutions across a wide range of property portfolios. In 2013, Ecosave was engaged by FRV to provide energy performance contracting (EPC) services.

What was recommended

The following solutions were included in the proposal:
