Ecosave’s Social Measures
We believe personally in energy and water conservation as a way to help our environment and community. So, as a company, we actively pursue measures to help play a part in conserving water and energy resources.
Some of these measures are small, others more substantial, but they remind us every day of our commitment to energy and water conservation. We believe that if we each do our own small part in fighting to save our planet, the combination of all our efforts will make a substantial difference for the world our children and their children will live in.
Below are some examples of these measures:
1. We donate a tree for every ton of CO2 and 100 kilolitres of water saved by clients' projects.
2. We donate 5% of our company profits to humanitarian organisations chosen by our team, each one of whom is passionate about a cause dear to their hearts.
3. Where possible we use recycled materials in our office, including:
- buying stationery from a company that has achieved certification ISO:14001 for Environmental Management
- printing on recycled paper
- printing our Christmas cards on recycled paper of which a percentage cost is donated to
a humanitarian organisation
- our uniforms are made from hemp materials
4. Where possible we recycle all office consumables, including:
- all paper and cardboard
- all toner cartridges and any redundant office equipment
5. We try every day to be carbon neutral, including:
- the CO2 created by our cars and air travel is offset on a yearly basis
- our fleet is made up of small and fuel efficient cars
- we have installed all appropriate energy and water conservation solutions in our offices
- we use Green Energy to reduce our CO2 emissions
